Salt beef is damn good and finally tried it. I walk by a place that claims "best salt beef in London," kind of like the worlds best cup of coffee....
Salt beef is just beef cured in salt brine. In the US it's corned beef. Only difference is in US they slice it moderately thin and in UK it's thick fat cuts of the stuff. Mustard and gherkins (aka pickles) and you're good to go.
