Best Movie Villians of All Time [...Insert Evil Laugh...]

No, not real life villains. Movie villains. I don't read enough fiction to come up with best "book" villains. As I truck through my novel, during National Novel Writing Month, I'm introducing some bad guys. This was hard as I've written a lot in the last few years but really haven't created a proper bad guy. Well, for inspiration, below are my:

Top 10 Best Movie Villains

(in no particular order).

Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy) - Fargo
Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) - The Matrix Trilogy
Archibald Cunningham (Tim Roth) - Rob Roy
Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) - The Shining
Jean-Baptiste Zorg (Gary Oldman) - Fifth Element
Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale) - American Psycho
Amon Goeth (Ralph Fiennes) - Schindler's List
Walter Finch (Robin Williams) - Insomnia
Norman Stansfield (Gary Oldman) - Leon: The Professional
Arthur Burns (Danny Huston) - The Proposition

  1. Women can be villains too. My favorite: Kathy Bates as Annie Wilkes in "Misery".
