What began its life in 1846 as a steam engine repair shed has been a music venue since the early 1960s. It seats an intimate 5,000. The cast iron ribbed and faded brick interior provides pretty solid acoustics. Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, The Clash, among many others, once played at the Roundhouse. I'm seeing My Morning Jacket tonight. What's great about seeing a band that isn't huge here is that in the US, they sell out 40,000 seat stadiums. Tonight, they're playing in front of me and 4,999 other people.
