Happy Mongolian New Year

Yesterday started the Mongolian Lunar New Year. Why, you may ask, do I know this? My roommate Maco and her father are Mongolian and they had a large group over for dinner. It was quieter and more somber than I thought it would be and when everyone was gone Maco's dad asked me to come have a drink of vodka with him. I really didn't feel like drinking anything but seriously, you don't turn down a 65 year old Mongolian man if he wants to share a drink with you on the Lunar New Year. You just don't do that. Real bad Karma.
